Water Bobble review

Today I picked up a Water Bobble at Robin’s Kitchen. I have walked past them so many times now and today was the day to take one home with me.

What is a Water Bobble? It’s a BPA free water bottle with a water filter built in. 550ml in size, made from recycled PET bottles and made in the USA. They’re also recyclable when you’re done with them.

Let me say this, just fantastic for the environment. Not only do they re-use old soft drink and water bottles to make then, but these little things will save you hundreds of dollars buying bottled water.

The water filter is carbon based and removes organic contaminants from regular municipal tap water. Filters should be replaced after 2 months orĀ  270 bottles worth. That’s a lot of water!!

There’s a pretty big con though, lack of water flow. If you just suck on the bottle (without squeezing), water flow is worse than the average stainless steel water bottle on the market. If you squeeze the bottle, flow is somewhat improved, but once the bottle is less than half full, that becomes difficult too.

They’re a great concept, but I’m not sure they have it quite right. RRP $14.95 in Australia and available to purchase from Robin’s Kitchen, House and other stockists Australia wide. Replacement filter/mouthpieces are $9.95
